Title: Across The Sea

Release Date Feb 16th 2013
Author: Caitlin Ricci
Length: 146 pages
Publisher Silver Stream Press (Silver Publishing)

Meows:  5

Blurb:  Emmaline finds herself cast from her home and alone in a world she's barely heard of. This time it'll take more than her using just her brain if she's going to survive.

Betrayed by an emperor she's been loyal to all her life, Emmaline suddenly finds herself cast out of the only place she's ever known and sent to live in a land she's barely ever heard of. In a world full of new magic where the simple color of her eyes makes her someone to be feared, it'll take more than her using just her brain if she's going to survive.

Review: Emmaline was given to a prince to produce an heir. If after a year she doesn’t conceive she is supposed to be able to go home. She doesn’t realize the emperor has a new home for her.
I found this story beautiful and provocative. There are many twists and turns.   I love Emmaline’s strength and determination.  Emmaline was able to take and make the best of her bad situation and perhaps finding love.
Recommendations: If you like faraway lands, a developing romance, slaves being  gifted to princes, Strong  gutsy heroines, A lord that rescues the day, and sensual sex give this one a try
