Blurb:  Kyrus is a wanted man. He's an Astral Mage, better known as a "Soul Giver", a race of people who can reattach life force energy back to its source. In other words, he brings the dead back to life. For years the Confederated Authority, the governing body for planets, has been methodically hunting them down and Kyrus is as pure as they've seen. So it becomes a huge risk when Tilbarr, the captain of the Wolf, brings Kyrus on board his ship, and absolutely not because he was falling for the man. But it's not long before Tilbarr realizes he just may have to give up everything in order to save Kyrus… all in all, not a bad trade off.

Review: Kyrus is an Astral mage and that makes him a very wanted man. Everyone is trying to get his hands on a full blooded Astral mage for their own reasons. Tilbarr when he finds Kyrus he doesn’t know what he is. He just knows he wants him and needs to protect him. Kyrus also find himself wanting Tilbarr but not wanting to endanger him or his ship. So what is an Astral Mage? Why do so many people want him? Get the book and find out.
This book started out really good. It had so much potential with the entire goings on. That turned out to be a big problem for me. There was so much going on I got overwhelmed and at times lost.  There were so many stories and although each story was so good all the bits and pieces felt like an info drop.  Don’t get me wrong. I really liked all the stories, but I would have liked this particular book to have focused on just the Astral mage part of the story. It started off as Kyrus story switched to Tilbarr practically leaving Kyrus out then back to finding him. The author did do a good job of building the  world and the ships. It was very exciting and fast paced I just felt that the characters weren’t as developed as they needed to be and would have loved the focus in one place.
Recommendations: If you like science fiction, space craft, new worlds, mages,  a good love story and lots of action you will find it here.
