Author:  Sara York
Genre:  Modern western, contemprary MM, suspense
Length:
Publisher Self- published by Sara York
Warnings: Highly addictive (bring along some tissues)
Meows: 5
Purrrs: 5
Blurb:  Revenge might have been what drove Jung-Hwa Gangjeon, known as Jump, to Caldwell Texas and Crazy Hills Ranch, but something darker has kept him there. Desire is awakened his first night in town, leaving him questioning everything about his life, his past, and his future.

Finding a sexy young man sleeping on a park bench wasn't what Bruce Long expected from his night sift as a Deputy Sherriff, but at the first sight of the man, he knew he wanted more than just a name. But getting the skittish Jump to settle enough to accept his love is harder than Bruce ever imagined. Lust and passion spin its web, leaving both Bruce and Jump branded with desire.

Review: All I can say is Wow! If you haven’t read any of the Texas Soul Series I suggest you start in order with Texas rough, though these all stand-alone just fine and once you read one you will want to read them all. I loved the way this one started out with some of the character profiles.
Jump shows up at the Crazy horse ranch to get even with the man he thinks is his biological father. He believes it is Gresh because of a photo he found when he left foster care and got his mother’s belongings. At 18 he is a bitter, angry young man.  Bruce long is the deputy Sherriff and finds Jump sleeping on a bench. He is immediately intrigued.
There is a lot of story in this one. There are so many twists and turns in here it leaves you reeling!  I am such a fan of this series. I waited impatiently and wasn’t disappointed.  The foursome continues with Lane, Gresh and Riley and Connor. Wow can it get hotter?  You won’t want to put it down until you are done as you go for story to story and twist after twist I was left in Awe!  Oh and a huge Shocker! I sure can’t wait till spring for the fifth installment.

Recommendations: If you like cowboys, lawmen doctors, foursomes, super- hot sex, and loving relationships this is for you!

Blurb: Life at Crazy Hills has become crazier, and the cowboys are misbehaving. Their worlds are turned upside down as lust leads them to places they never thought they would go.

For Erick McTavish, meeting the handsome young cowboy, Sterling White, is the first sign he may be able to put the pain and the flashbacks from his brutal abduction behind him for good. Too bad Sterling doesn’t seem to return those feelings.

Determined to remain straight, Sterling hates the walking, talking temptation that is Erick, yet he can’t seem to stop his desire to experience his first kiss with a man, but not just any man, only Erick will do. The tattered remains of Sterling’s denial are stripped away when fate steps in and wickedly hot passion ignites between the pair, leaving Sterling unable to imagine a life without Erick.

Meanwhile, the bonds of friendship between Gresh, Connor, Lane, and Riley are tested when dark desire leads them down a dangerous path twisting their relationship to the max, leaving all four men wondering if any relationship is possible after betrayal.

Review: Erick has just recently been rescued from terrorists. He had been held for 6 months brutally beaten and tortured. His work partner and the man he had a crush on rescued him. When he got rescued he found that Conner had met someone and fell in love. Conner and Riley gets him a Job with Lane and Gresh  at Crazy  Hills Ranch. Meanwhile Lane and Riley though both very much in love with their life partner/ husbands still have unfinished business. Gresh finds Conner very enticing and can’t stifle that urge. In Houston on a meeting Gresh finds out Conner is working there on a case. They have some friendly dinners and in a twist share a short kiss. Lane is very upset and turns to Riley. But he realizes no matter what he feels for Riley Gresh is the one for him.   Back to Erick at the ranch. He meets a young cowboy Sterling but it seems sterling hates him. Or does he?
Wow Wow Wow! This book was smoking hot. It is book three of the Texas soul Series but it stands alone fine. I do recommend you read the first two they are awesome but this one was even better. WOW. Once you start you will not want to put it down. And then name is spot on. Twists all over. More twists than a twizzler! Review:  Riley is leaving Lane and Gresh’s commitment ceremony, his emotions raw. He runs upon an accident and stops to help being a doctor.  He has a confrontation with the lawman there, not only does he want to hit him but to …well other things to him too. A month or so later Riley is taking a dip in the pond next to his property when a man confronts him. It is Connor the Texas Ranger; he hasn’t been quite able to get off his mind. Things lead from confrontation again to riley getting to… well what he wanted the last time. Things move very fast for both men but both schedules and pasts get in the way. Are Riley and Conner a match made in heaven?  Are their busy jobs too much for a relationship? What about Lane and his hold on Riley? Who is Erick? Believe me if you like twists and turns and super-hot mansex you will want to buy this and find out!

I am such a big fan Of Sara York and especially this Texas Soul Series. I haven’t been reading too many westerns until this, now I am so hooked.  I love the modern day setting, with realistic modern cowboys. This book was even better than the first of the series, and I couldn’t have imagined that happening as the first was awesome.
Omg this was so fast paced so many twists and turns, all the characters these and the ones from the first book are so wonderful and exciting.  There is nothing else I can say but how good this book is. It made me laugh, it made me smile, it made me gasp, made me say OH My gosh so many times!! I am on pins and needles for the third. And fourth and hope there’s more!

Recommendations:  I highly recommend this book to everyone that loves a good M/M romance.  Especially if you like cowboys, Texas Rangers (law enforcement not the  ball team), twists and turns, interracial coupling, super ,super down and dirty mansex. Did I say hot cowboys and hot mansex?

I thought this book was great. I don’t generally go for westerns but occasionally I like one.. But now I am hooked.  I loved this me and will definitely be buying the series. I loved the characters and it had a strong story line with a little suspense. I loved the love story though I found it a bit gushy and syrupy, but then again I like sweet and sensuous love stories, so it didn’t really bother me.

Recommendations: If you like a good modern day western,  hot cowboys, horses, sexy doctors, a great sweet romance, a compelling story and some sensuous but hot sex…

Review for Finding Eden By Scarlet Blackwell

Title:  Finding Eden
Series: Clearwater Creek book  4

Author: Scarlet Blackwell
 Publisher: Silver Publishing
Length:103  pages novella
Genre: contemporary
Meows: 5
purrs: 5 explicit

Blurb: Eden Gray is traumatized from his rape eighteen years earlier and the part Sean Keller played in it isn't easy to forget. Eden goes from happy to desperate within minutes, never sure how long a good mood will last. But he knows that he loves Sean with all his heart and wants to lay his ghosts to rest permanently.

Sean feels the same way. He treads on eggshells around Eden, afraid for his mental health and mindful of his suicide attempts. He has a hard time dealing with his guilt, and hates that it overshadows his love for Eden more often than not.

Something needs to happen to let them connect and bond permanently and bring them into the light…
Review: Finding Eden is  a very well written and character driven love story. Such a gripping and heartfelt story of two men with secrets in their past and A love hate relationship that is to die for.
In finding Eden we follow Sean and Eden after Eden’s trial for murdering Paul, Sean’s best friend  We also find out that it isn’t the Happy ever after we had thought we got from Into the Light, The first book. Eden still hasn’t adjusted well and after he killed Paul is even more distraught. Sean is handling Eden the best he can with love and attention, but Eden’s mood swings are about more than even Sean can deal with. Sean even sometimes still worries that den hasn’t forgiven him.
Even after finding out Sean’s involvement in Eden’s rape eighteen years before I can’t help but just fall for Sean. Eden even after all he has been through I’d really like to slap the crap out of him. .So does Eden finally heal? Does Sean and Eden finally make their relationship work? Is Sean’s love for Eden worth giving up he is career and home? I am not telling. You will have to read the book. I promise you will want to read the first three too so might as well buy them all now.
I highly recommend this book for anyone that loves a very intense romantic love story. Several twists and turns, really hot sex scenes, A little light Bdsm ,Men in uniform, Very well put together characters.  I just swoon for Sean.

Review: I really liked this book. This was my first of this series and I was able to follow a long and enjoy it even though there is two books a head which I may say I will be going to get now. I am a hopeless romantic and the love between Brandon and Finn is sweet sincere and passionate. Finn has a lot of issues and Brandon is a caring respectful lover and is doing his best to help Finn work through his past.
Brandon is a sheriff and alerted that there may be a illegal adult filmmaker in his town doing snuff films .He finds the warehouse and stops a film in progress. So he makes some enemies that know about his lovers past and intend to take revenge on him,
So Does Brandon find this filmmaker? Do the bad guys get their revenge? Does Finn survive, Does Brandon find out what he needs to further his relationship with Finn. I’m not telling you go read the book Its worth it.
If you like hot sex, loving intense relationships and some mystery, maybe even some Bdsm  try this!

Title: Smashed into Pieces
Series: Clearwater Creek volume two
Author:  Scarlet Blackwell
Publisher: Silver publishing
Length: 118 pages/novella
Genre: contemporary/ m/m.
Meows: 5
Purrs:  5

Blurb: Sheriff Brandon Schofield is smitten by the new arrival in Clear Water Creek, Finn Austen. But Finn is living in the house by the lake where a murder took place and his story is no less unhappy than the previous occupant's. Finn is on the run from a violent past and he trusts no one.

Brandon is desperate to break down his defenses and win Finn's love and trust but time is running out and perhaps he can only protect Finn for so long.
Review: This is the second book in the Clearwater Creek series. I have to say even with a whole different cast of characters, its every bit as good as the first.
Brandon Shofield is the new sheriff in town (he he I just had to say that).Taking over after the last sheriff left with his lover leaving behind a lot of talk and mystery.
A new man comes to town moving into the house across the lake from him. Bringing in a mystery of his own. Who or what is Finn hiding from?  Can Brandon break down his barriers both physically and emotionally and rescue him? Does Finn even want to be rescued? I’m not going to tell you. You will have to buy the book. I prose you won’t be sorry.
I can tell you this if you like a really well written love story full of strong well developed characters, a little mystery and intrigue and some super-hot mansex, plus a man in uniform, this is definitely one you want to pick up. I highly recommend this and the one before and the one after. Be prepared to get them all and read them all soon.

Reviewer Cat
Review:  I really love this series. I actually started out of order with Fade to Black and fell in love with the characters. I was surprised with the different characters but loved both Sean and loved to hate Eden as well. Well maybe not hate but   I did want to slap him to his senses quite a bit. I wasn’t disappointed at all. I loved Sean and finding out about his past and his love for Eden Gray. I actually was happy at first that Eden and Sean got together wanting Sean to have happiness and to make peace with his past. I commended him for that and finding how he had loved Eden all these years and carried this burden endeared me to him more ( yes  I love the  Stubborn butthole types,)Eden I  wanted to shake sense into him on more than one occasion. I found this story so romantic and even heart wrenching at time. (I am a sucker for heart wrenching romances.)  I was so glad when Sean owned up to his responsibility and love for Eden.(I kind of fell for Sean as you can tell*swoon*)
I recommend this story to anyone that loves a very warm and loving romance with its ups and downs. Really hot mansex, Men in uniforms, and a nice well-paced character driven romance.  I highly recommend this book (the other two Clearwater Creek books and Finding Eden as well.) You won’t be sorry!

Review for A Faire day for Murder by Alan Scott

Title:  A Faire Day for Murder
Series  Follows Inside passage to murder (but stands alone well)
Release Date
Author: Alan Scott
Genre: Contemporary, M/F, Other paranormal
Length: Novel (69204 words)
Publisher:  JMS Books LLC
Meows: 5
Purrrs: low
Blurb: The brutal murder of an old man in an isolated farmhouse leaves local law enforcement with no alternative but to ask the Psionic Corps for help. Ian Houston, with his paranormal abilities, is called in, but his presence isn't welcomed by all. The sheriff is convinced the owners of the nearby renaissance faire are behind the murder, especially since the victim was about to evict the faire from his land just as their season was getting underway.

Ian is not convinced the case is so straightforward, especially since there are other people with motives for doing away with the old man -- the neighbor with whom he has had a long-going property dispute, the son who will inherit his land, one of the faire's patrons who's been harassed by the old man over the years. To keep innocent people from being charged with murder, Ian must join the renaissance faire as a cast member to see if a murderer lurks among the ren folke.

Impeding his investigation is beautiful actress Diana Morgan, who instantly steals his heart. But as a cast member, she is also under suspicion, and Ian discovers she may have a dark past, too.

A second murder ramps up the investigation and the mystery becomes even more confused. Meanwhile, the sheriff is moving closer to charging the renaissance faire owners with murder.

Can Ian use his powers to find the real culprit and prove the innocence of his newfound friends?

Review:
Ian is an investigator with special powers. He is called in to investigate the murder of Tom Eskew.  His murder is being pinned on Renaissance Faire owners that rent some land from him. It turns out his wife has been missing for a year and his neighbor gets killed too.  Who is the killer? What are Ian’s powers? I am not gonna tell you! You will have to read the book to see.

I found this book very intriguing. The story is realistic and believable. The murder, mystery is well planned out and leaves you wondering to the end who is guilty. I liked the present day setting and the way the renaissance faire is explained and portrayed it never felt like a history lesson or an info dump. The back story of Ian’s power’s and past was also slowly unraveled. The whole story was nice and smooth and intriguing. I did get the feel this was a second book in a series. In searching I found Inside Passage to Murder which looks like it may be the first book.  Having said this, the book is definitely stand alone.. You don’t need to read the first to understand anything, but I have to admit…. I checked because I WANT to read the other.
i

Recommendations: If you like a good murder mystery set in present day times, with paranormal twists this one is it!
