There she meets her future husband who, with British stiff upper-lip, leads her into the exciting world of show business and travel.

Gay lovers Roger and Steve become Vicky’s closest friends. But even they don’t know her completely. She keeps mum on her efforts to smuggle endangered children out of Europe to the U.S. during WWII, and their aftermath.

Whether she is nearly arrested at Mardi Gras for impersonating an undercover policeman in drag, or masquerading as one of her many alternate personalities of the Countess of Comedians, or simply playing the grandmother while helping a boy keep his dog, Vicky lives life to the fullest. Review:  This is a very humorous lighthearted story of love and friendship. Vicky goes to a new retirement home every year for 9 months then in April goes back home to visit her family, her shenanigans all seem  wild and whacky but when you get to the end you see the method in her madness. She does some pretty out there stuff but I have to say it’s a laugh a minute. If you want a break from the usual you should try this. The characters are so realistic and endearing and the storyline once you find out her reasons is sweet.
Recommendations: To all who enjoy a laugh and a marvelous character, Vicky Banning, and don’t  believe in growing older only better.

 About the book:
In the year 2081 our planet survived global warming of an apocalyptic scale. When the dust settled and the water receded Dr. Anthony Smith, one of only a few hundred survivors of GWI, started society anew. Having come to the conclusion that injudicious breeding played a huge role in the destruction of Earth as we knew it in the twenty first century, he worked closely with other survivors to isolate the Dionysus gene. This gene has the ability to manipulate human DNA to ensure that all male children be born gay, and all female children be born lesbians. A new society is born.

In the year 2300 Dr. Smith’s descendants are ushering in the twenty fourth century having maintained control of the government that still rules society. Twins Aiya and Aiyan are preparing to meet their matches and take control of House Gaeland, the current ruling House. But not everything is as it seems.

Love is Love.. it knows no gender and doesn’t conform to restrictions and boundaries. Aiyan has found his soul mate in Kaden, the prince of House Devi that he is matched with and eventually marries. But when the person Aiya falls in love with tests the boundaries put in place after GWI, all hell breaks loose. And in the midst of one secret unraveling, another will emerge. There is a growing anomaly that threatens to destroy over two hundred years of progression. This anomaly is known as Opposites.

*WARNING* Opposites is a majorly M/M New Adult novel that contains explicit sexual content and relationships between gay, lesbian and straight couples.
 Meows  3.5
Purrs: Hot and sexy ( several sex scenes but tastefully done)
My Review:
I found this book very interesting. The world is intriguing and the storyline is interesting. I loved the romance between Kaden and Aiyan. I also found many of the other romances going on very intriguing also BUT to me there was way too many going on  and it took away from the actual story of the Opposites.  I could easily see more books from this one as the stories of each set of parents were interesting, and the romance building between Taris and Raven extremely hot and intriguing.  Since it was called Opposites I was expecting more about the relationship of the two opposites, BUT I loved the story between Aiyan and Kaden and thought it was beautiful, sexy and hot! I would definitely read about the others!

Recommendations: If you like intriguing new worlds, futuristic settings, F/F love scenes, hot and steamy M/M love scenes and coming of age stories this one is a must read!

The Opposites tour Does music inspire you? T. M''s Playlist

A military brat born and raised at Ft. Benning Georgia; Smith is an avid reader, reviewer and writer. She now calls Texas home from her small town on the outskirts of the DFW Metroplex. Most days you can find her curled up with her kindle and a good book alongside a glass of something aged and red or a steaming cup of coffee! At 42 years young, she’s decided to enter the next phase of her life by adding the title of “author” to her list of accomplishments that includes single mom of three disturbingly outspoken and decidedly different kids, one of which is Autistic. Her two eldest kids and gay best friend were the inspiration for her upcoming new release, Opposites.
Music was a huge inspiration for this book. There were songs that I literally wrote chapters or scenes around. I listened to a lot of violin and piano music as well while writing, to get into the mind set of Aiya and Aiyan while they were playing.
In chapter two, First Impressions, when they are travelling from the clearing to Gaeland and Maeve is taking in her surroundings, it is very whimsical and beautiful. Celtic Dream by Ronan Hardiman is a whimsical, instrumental song that conveys what Maeve is seeing in the song.
Celtic Dream

Celtic music dominates my playlist, it’s so relaxing and transparent. Ronan Hardiman, Blackmore’s Night and Relaxation pure moods are the main three I have on my I-pod.
Blackmore's Night

The song Aiya and Aiyan play on the piano and violin that first night after dinner, Rain on the Pond.
Rain on the Pond

The song Aiya is playing when Sawyer is watching her, YirumaRiver Flows in You.

Aiyan and Raven both play violin so I listen to a lot of David Garrett. The man is drop dead sexy as well, so that is a plus!

Aiyan and Kaden’s wedding song, X-tina baby!!

Where Aiyan and Kaden have a strong, powerful ballad for their song; Aiya and Maeve have a more relaxed song. This is fitting because it shows the difference in the relationships, the boys are by definition a stronger couple.

Maybe it’s a little cheesy, but I had to use an Adam Lambertsong. He’s my vision for Raven and he point blank asks Tanis, “What do you want from me?!”

The song Aiyan plays to the moon, his song for Kaden, the passionate sadness that is ‘Lament’.

When “The Hunting Party” lets loose, there will be bodies!

There is a very passionate scene between Aiyan and Kaden toward the end of the book. From the first time I heard Come On Get Higher by Matt Nathanson I wanted to write a story around the song. The words are perfectly defined in the chapter, “Pleasure and Pain”.

Let’s not forget about Aiya and Sawyer in the chapter “WeBelong”.

I have hundreds of songs on my I-Pod and I have 3 different playlists on you-tube with “writing music” on them with some of my very favorites. Music is wonderful thing and it can completely define a mood. I can always find something I like on any radio station, aside from Metal. As I sad, music can define a mood, and someone screaming and thrashing and mosh pits aren’t a mood I want to be in. But, too each his own, right!

Review:  I’m not  gonna  do the usual rundown since this is a short story and the blurb explains it well.  This is another peek at Gregori and Juan and expands on their growth relationship. This one is after Dreams forgotten and yet another battle. I loved this. I love the insight in even more of Gregori and Juan since this tells both men’s views. I also like that it shows a little more of Stan and Gregori’s past relationship.  I love the way this author sows such sensuality and strength in her characters and the passion is paramount.  I hope to see more of these peeks  at Gregori and even the other characters since there are so many in this series deserving of a story! Thank you Thank you Ms. Ander!

Review:  I’m going to skip my usual rundown since this is a short story.
This one is about Gregori and Juan and takes place after Songs of the Earth and a battle.
I loved this look into Gregori and his past and his feeling. It gives great insight into his character and a bit more on the Maj College. It’s as beautifully written and intriguing as the stories and I was swooning over these two men. It’s very sensual and shows the love blooming between the two. Thank you Lexi for the peek inside these two characters’ lives and I hope we get more peeks at more characters!

Review:Review:  Brief rundown. This is the third book in the series and picks up a few days after the end of the last book which was a bit different than the first two. Those were continued right from the previous. Here Tristan is having dreams and waking up confused, upset and losing control of his beast. His beast is wanting to claim Ushna more and more and Tristan doesn’t want to chance  keeping Ushna from financing his true flame in reincarnation. He is farther along in his pregnancy and is preparing for the trip to Georgia to deal with the traitors and take care of the estate for Theo’s kids.
When this one didn’t start of right away with Daniel and why he was a threat at first I was a bit disappointed. Then the action hit quickly and one twist after another revealed more and more about Tristan, Ushna , their flames, Tristan’s being a prince, and more of his men. There is tons of action, loads of suspense all combined with the sexy sensuous romance of Tristan and Ushna. I have fallen deeply In love with both these men.  Fabulous story and now to move on to the fourth… PS You will want to have all of these when you start…
Recommendations: If you like futuristic earth, , fantasy, shifters, Gods and Goddess’s, a bit of suspense, friends becoming lovers, mates, and just a darn super good book. This is a must read

Review: A quick rundown: This is book two of a series and best if read in order.  Tristan and Ushna had just become lovers and Tristan found he was also an Alpha and a Prince. He needed time to think and had took off on his horse for one hour alone. He knew he was shadowed by 6 of his new warriors and also saw some unusual creatures in the sky and was confronted by a Goddess.  In this book he finds out more of his secret hidden past, his love for Ushna and that they can have children.  He agrees to this to find out again he was tricked by the Goddess.
This series just gets better and better.  There are more twists and turns in this and each leads us to more insight of Tristan’s identity. It also tells us a little bit about Ushna also. I wasn’t put off by the prospect of the male pregnancy since   it was pretty much explained and forewarned. I found it pretty intriguing.  The mystery and suspense was nail-biting and again it ended on a cliffhanger causing me to get the next book.   I actually liked this one better than the first if that’s even possible. There were more sex scenes in this all very sensual and hot. I think I have fallen in love with both these men. I also find many more of the characters just as intriguing and interesting and can’t wait to see how the story unfolds.

Review: A quick rundown: Tristan has found his twin flame in Theo but Theo hasn’t let Tristan return the mark. Theo wants to be able to have children ( and is just a big cheater) .Hurt Tristan brings Theo before the council and instead of having Theo forced to accept him, he chooses ot break the bond which could kill him. In breaking the bond he will also have to leave the pack since Theo is Alpha. Tristan’s childhood friend Ushna accepts responsibility as guard and to help Tristan survive.
This is  going to be one awesome series. I couldn’t put down this book once I got into it. The characters are all very deep and well defined, and interesting. You love the good guys and hate the bad ones! The story starts off with a lot of history and has lots of big names, but there is a glossary in the front that helps a lot. I do suggest you read that before starting the book.  But after getting through all the history and scene setting the story is worth it. It is intriguing, fast paced, twists and turns, you don’t see half of it coming and yeah it’s just awesome! The love developing between Tristan and Ushna is so sexy and sensual you don’t need the actual sex. I found the story beautiful and breathtaking and as soon as I finished I picked up the next book!( had to  what a cliff hanger!)
Recommendations:  If you like futuristic, other worlds, fantasy, shifters, Gods and Goddess’s, a bit of suspense, friends becoming lovers, mates, and just a darn super good book. This is a must read
